Albany Academy, a renowned independent preparatory school in New York’s Capital Region, sought to extend its brand to its beloved summer program. With a 200-year legacy of academic excellence, the Academy wanted its summer offering to reflect both tradition and a spirit of joyful exploration.
Following the school’s institutional rebrand, Ruth&Co. was commissioned to craft a distinct yet connected identity for Academy Summer. Our challenge was to capture the program’s dynamic mix of academics, arts, athletics, and fun—while honoring the Academy’s core values of curiosity, confidence, and community.
We developed a custom wordmark and a vibrant palette of shapes and colors, drawing inspiration from the refreshed Academy brand. The result is a bold, flexible visual system that radiates energy and joy across all applications—from print and digital to signage and merchandise—highlighting the diverse experiences that make Academy Summer memorable for campers and their families.
