Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is a leading technological research university in Troy, New York. It is the nation’s oldest and one of the world’s most renowned technological research universities, defining the scientific and technological advances for 200 years.
Coinciding with the announcement of the retirement of the University President, Dr. Shirley Ann Jackson, the university commissioned a “Renaissance at Rensselaer: A President, A Plan, A University Transformed” to celebrate and commemorate its transformation into a premier center of learning and research in engineering and the sciences.
Ruth&Co. collaborated with Rensselaer’s Office of Strategic Communication to create the 350-page, cloth-bound book, designed to commemorate the historic achievements of the university under the leadership of Dr. Jackson.
Meticulous attention to materials and production resulted in a finely crafted, cloth-bound book. The deep red cloth cover, paired with a matching slipcase and silver foil stamping, creates an immediate sense of elegance and celebration. High-quality paper stock, lay-flat binding, and carefully selected finishes ensure durability and a premium tactile experience. Expansive pages showcase striking photography, archival images, and elegant layouts that highlight the university’s milestones and achievements. Through these details, the book offers readers an immersive, memorable way to engage with Rensselaer’s rich history and transformation.
As a treasured keepsake, the book becomes more than a publication—it stands as a symbol of pride and lasting connection. For donors and university stakeholders, it serves as a tangible testament to their impact and enduring relationship with the institution.
